I’ll be upfront about this. I first reached out to Boson wanting to borrow a coworker’s account, just to try it out and write an honest review. Before I even got that far, a very kind gentleman named Jay from their team reached out and offered me a trial code instead. There were no strings attached. It was short-term access, exactly what I needed. That kind of responsiveness and goodwill before I’d spent a single dollar already told me something about the company.
And then I actually used the product, and it backed up every good impression.
After getting burned by Infosec Institute’s boot camp, Boson was a breath of fresh air. That boot camp’s practice questions were inaccurate, explanations were missing, and the whole thing felt thrown together. Boson’s questions are well-crafted, fair, and aligned with what the actual exam tests. What really stood out were the answer explanations. Each one tells you the right answer and also why each wrong answer is wrong. That sounds small, but it makes a massive difference when you’re trying to build real understanding instead of memorizing your way through.
Concepts I had been fuzzy on for weeks finally clicked after working through a Boson explanation. I came away from study sessions actually feeling smarter, not just more tired.
Jay, if you’re reading this, thank you. You didn’t have to do that, and it mattered. If you’re serious about passing the CISSP, just buy Boson. It’s a practice exam tool that treats you like an adult who needs to really understand the material. Don’t overthink it.
